JANET PEARSON
Janet has been working as a photographer for about 10 years now, and has several of her photographs recognized, including one published in Photo Life Magazine and a third place ribbon at the 2006 Kootenay Photography Salon. Her upcoming publication will be in the 2008 We Moon Calender.

Photographer, Janet Pearson, is bringing the intense beauty of flowers into people’s hearts these days. Her photographs are capturing people’s attention with their vivid colors, delicate textures and ability to bring the magical qualities of nature into our awareness. Working in tune with the elements and an active state of meditation, Pearson delves deep into her subjects, exploring the nature of beauty, light and color. She will be sharing her method of spiritual and emotional based composition with participants in an afternoon workshop at her farm in Kaslo--Kootenay Lodge and Farm--on Sunday, July 29th at 1:00 pm for $25. The workshop will explore using meditation and connecting with the four directions and elements to guide your soul, rather than your eyes, when capturing the essence of nature through photography.

Janet’s work can currently be viewed as part of Kaslo’s Artwalk at the Landmark Bakery on Front Street, at the new Hazeldean Gallery on Baker Street in Nelson, at Iona’s Cottage in Kaslo and on-line at www.dragonsside.com.
